1911 Mercer Toy Tonneau
Restored by Ralph Buckley for the late Miles Coverdale, this exceptionally beautiful and rakish Mercer is one of the few genuine Touring cars that remain. During its long-term ownership and care, it has been regularly driven during the touring seasons. In 1911, only the beautiful Toy Tonneaus and Raceabouts had the same high-performance Raceabout engines which provide this Mercer with great performance, comfort and room for four passengers. Charmingly finished in correct Mercer Golden Brown with cream wheels, this Toy Tonneau carries the patina one would expect from a road-going Mercer.
1932 Packard Twin Six Model 905 Sport Phaeton
Of the many fine automobiles produced by the Packard Motor Car Company, few possess the grace and sporting elegance found in the incomparable Twin Six of 1932.
Of the 549 Twin Six chassis produced for 1932, very few were originally outfitted with the expensive Sport Phaeton body. The Twin Six presented here was originally bodied as a sedan; however, when it was discovered with the McGowan brothers of Branford, Connecticut, a genuine Sport Phaeton body was sourced and united with the chassis.
1933 Lincoln Model KB Convertible Sedan
Although Lincoln catalogued the KB Dietrich Convertible Sedan for the 1933 model year, only 15 of the splendid automobiles were created. Today, just six are known to exist in any form.
The low survival rate of these graceful Lincolns is rather a pity, as they were among the most exclusive automobiles of their day, bolstering the long-standing traditions of a marque synonymous with refined elegance and quality engineering.
1937 Cord 812 S/C Phaeton
Very few of the remarkable supercharged Cord 812s have survived the past seven decades as well as the lovely, genuine Phaeton presented here.
As is evident from its crisp and well-detailed presentation, this 812 S/C was the subject of a high-quality restoration, reportedly performed by leading Auburn and Cord specialist Stan Gillian of Wellington, Kansas. Judging by its precise panel fit, resplendent ivory paintwork and authentically executed interior, it appears as though no detail was spared in the preparation of this glorious open Cord and there a reassuring evidence of quality in its presentation. The lively ivory over red combination with a striking black canvas soft top, complete with contrasting red piping, is a refreshing color combination for the bold design and captures some of the 812’s finer subtleties. An enviable 99.5-point result during competitive CCCA Grand Classic judging in 2004 is a strong statement towards its outstanding condition is.
1915 Crane-Simplex Model 5 Sport Berline
Presented here is an exceptional example of the famed Crane-Simplex, one of the finest luxury automobiles of its era. It is believed that this attractive Brewster Sport Berline was originally constructed for Henry M. Crane and was subsequently displayed on the company’s stand at the prestigious New York Auto Show in 1915. Soon after the show, a wealthy East Coast family reportedly purchased the splendid motorcar for an astounding $13,800.
