Evolving from the 308, the Ferrari 328 benefited from an increase in power and torque, integrated bumpers, and an updated interior reminiscent of the 288 GTO. In total, Ferrari built just 1,344 examples of the 328 GTB. The low-mileage example offered here has resided in California from new, and features a well-documented history and notable concours successes.
Supplied new through Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo in Portland, Oregon, this late-production 328 GTB has spent virtually all of its existence in the San Francisco Bay Area. The owner prior to the consignor acquired it in July 1994, when it showed just 4,014 miles on the odometer. This GTB has covered less than 13,000 original documented miles in total, is the recipient of two FCA Platinum Awards, and is supplied with a comprehensive service record, CARFAX Vehicle History Report, factory handbooks, and tool kit.
When Allan Henry tested the Ferrari 328 for Motor Sports, his report emphasized the myriad evolutionary improvements to the 308/328 line made during production. He concluded: “It might well be the last of its line, but, unquestionably, it is the best.” Presenting very strongly in the quintessential Rosso Corsa over Crema leather color combination, this pristine and highly original example represents a spectacular opportunity to acquire what must be one of the best-preserved Ferrari 328 GTBs.
