This top-of-the-line, high-performance 1949 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Villa d’Este, chassis 915.888, is a prestigious show-stopper with a strongly documented history. It comes clothed with an exquisite, all-aluminum body built by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan, Italy, a firm synonymous with elegant aesthetic design and technical innovation. Chassis 915.888 is one of only 34 examples built of the ‘Villa d’Este,’ a lightweight, sporting coupe named after the famous Hotel on Lake Como –– the esteemed venue for Italy’s most exclusive concours d’elegance. The car was delivered new to a member of the Egyptian royal family, and was later owned by Malcolm Harris, a famed Alfa Romeo collector and 6C 2500 aficionado. Restored in Europe, the coupe is beautifully finished in Dark Green Metallic paint with light green leather upholstery. Under its current ownership, it has been displayed at several leading concours, winning awards at Pebble Beach, the Quail, and the Art Center Classic.
