According to its corresponding Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) Certificate, this outstanding 1960 Jaguar XK150 SE 3.8-Litre Fixed Head Coupe, one of 656 produced, was completed on February 9, 1960; dispatched to the US nine days later; and was eventually sold to its first owner, a resident in Los Angeles, on November 1, 1962. Remaining in California for the next 18 years, the XK150 was eventually given a comprehensive restoration in 1986, with a subsequent owner acquiring the car in 1998 and then further sorting the vehicle during his tenure. The consignor acquired the XK150 in 2009 and commissioned a concours-level restoration by noted Jaguar specialist Dave Ferguson at Images European in Campbell, California.
Simply resplendent in its factory-original colors, this impeccable XK150 has an extensive and well-documented exhibition history, highlighted by three 100-point results in Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) Concours d’Elegance competition in 2013. Additionally, this car was awarded JCNA 2013 North American Concours Award, First Place-Class “C4” 100.00 points at their annual general meeting in Boston. Accompanied by its JDHT Certificate, tool kit, restoration photo album, restoration invoices dating from 1986, five period Avon tires, and multiple concours trophies, this XK150 requires only an enthusiastic new owner to savor its many charms.
