1962 Porsche 356 B Coupe

Delivered new to John von Neumann’s famed Competition Motors in Hollywood, California, this 356 Coupe was originally finished in Royal Blue, a rare optional color available for two years during the B series production run. Outfitted with gray vinyl upholstery, Continental tires and a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, the Porsche was sold new to Alfred Brock of Santa Barbara. Remarkably, this 356 B has never left Southern California, as evidenced by an impressive file of documentation that dates back to the mid-1960s.

After being stored for nearly two decades with an owner in the San Diego area, the 356 recently received a full mechanical service and minor cosmetic attention, overseen by the classic Porsche specialists at Kundensport. The body panels, glass, and interior are original to the car, and factory records confirm that the engine is the matching-numbers unit. Indeed, apart from some paint work and general maintenance, this beautifully preserved car has changed little since it rolled off the assembly line back in June 1962.
