Marking the ultimate evolution of Porsche’s groundbreaking 356 series with the T-6 body and four-wheel disc brakes, this top-specification 356 SC was completed on November 28, 1963. Factory-finished in Ruby Red over black leatherette upholstery, it was sold new in Bologna, Italy, with features and options including leatherette-trimmed headrests and chrome wheels.
A recent and extensive restoration included a glass-out, bare-metal strip and refinish in its factory-specification Ruby Red, with all new rubber seals installed and brightwork polished. Featuring black leatherette with a new headliner and charcoal carpeting, the interior is equipped with a factory Blaupunkt radio, European instruments, and a VDO clock. The boot is complete with a liner, and both the undercarriage and engine bay are tidy in presentation. During September 2015, brake, steering, and suspension components were rebuilt as new. The consignor reports that the 356 performs very well, delivering a wide power band and strong acceleration with even compression and smooth idling. This 356 SC offers an engaging experience featuring the tight fit, finish, and drivability emblematic of Porsche. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the factory Kardex accompany the vehicle, plus a driver’s manual in its sleeve, a tool roll and jack, and a matching spare secured by a leather strap.
