The graceful Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 offers the quintessential 1960s Ferrari experience, combining thoroughbred performance and world-class luxury. An evolution of the earlier 330 GT, the GT 2+2 boasted a larger 4.4-liter V-12 and benefited from significant improvements in the suspension department. With a nod to comfort, the model marks the first time a Ferrari was equipped with air-conditioning and power steering as standard.

The Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 offered here, chassis 13045, was delivered new in 1969 to official US distributor Luigi Chinetti Motors in Greenwich, Connecticut. Records indicate that well-known Ferrari collector Roger Ellis of Reno, Nevada, owned the 365 GT into the 1970s, when it made its way to California. The next long-term caretaker, Mr. Willford, a naval officer from Citrus Heights, California, acquired 13045 in 1984 and enjoyed the Ferrari for more than 29 years. Ownership then turned to the Chicago area, where the car received a bare-metal respray in Blu Scuro, along with new black leather upholstery complemented by red carpets. The restoration was accentuated by new chrome plating as well as additional attention to the brake system and engine bay detailing.

This lovingly maintained example offers an outstanding opportunity to acquire a well-appointed, high-performance grand touring car. Combining a classic front V-12 engine and striking Pininfarina styling, this 365 GT 2+2 asserts all of the positive Ferrari characteristics in one well-rounded and relatively approachable package.
