1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

Built as a premium Cutlass offering, Oldsmobile’s 1972 Supreme was the last of the second-generation models and is considered the most desirable of the line. This immaculate 1972 hardtop coupe comes in its factory-correct triple-black combination and features its pristine original interior.

Bodied by Fisher and assembled in Framingham, Massachusetts, this Cutlass’ first owner, James Blackburn, titled the car to his home in North Carolina. The car was built with options including bucket seats, air-conditioning, the turbo Hydra-Matic 350 transmission and Vari-Ratio power steering, and even a factory-installed eight-track tape player. Believed to have had only three collector owners, this Cutlass shows less than 37,000 miles. As was GM’s practice, the final numerals of the engine and chassis numbers match. This Oldsmobile has been recognized at many AACA events and was a National Senior Award winner in 2000. In 2016, it received concoursquality polyurethane paint by a Pebble Beach award-winning craftsman, and was thoroughly serviced by automotive expert Bob Ream of Phoenix. The consignor has further refined this car’s detail and presentation to a level seldom seen.
