For 1974, the Carrera model was first made available to the US market. The Carrera package deviated from the regular 911 S via its flared rear fenders, wider Fuchs wheels, front and rear spoilers, Carrera decals, and a higher level of standard equipment.
One of only 395 US-specification coupes produced for 1975, this Carrera was purchased new by Le Roy Kingland at Dave Strong Porsche in Salt Lake City, Utah. The second owner purchased it directly from Mr. Kingland in 1995 and cherished it for an additional 21 years. The very original Carrera is finished in classic Silver Metallic, accented by black Carrera scripts, and is believed by the consignor to retain the majority of its original paint. Inside, the original black leather interior is just beginning to take on a pleasing patina. A radio-delete version, and equipped with a sunroof and fog lights, this Carrera wears new Pirelli CN36 tires recently installed by Porsche specialist John Walker’s Workshop, which also performed a full major service.
This is a matching-numbers Carrera, as documented by an accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and registers just over 36,000 well- cared-for miles at the time of cataloguing. Benefiting from two long-term owners and highly detailed throughout, this Carrera is a time capsule car that will repay its new owner with wonderful driving experiences.
