Beautifully Preserved Low-Mileage Example
A multitude of accolades for the Porsche 930 have long been enshrined in automotive history, and this highly original example displays particularly low mileage. Desirable factory options include sport seats as well as a factory sunroof, and this 930 features a vibrant and attractive color combination.
As confirmed by its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this 3.3-liter Turbo was finished at the factory in Light Blue Metallic paint and trimmed with blue leather, and was retailed to Dr. Douglas Cardoza of Santa Rosa, California. Dr. Cardoza retained possession of the 930 for 24 years, meticulously maintaining it and driving it sparingly. Accompanying invoices reflect an engine-out servicing in 2002, when the odometer displayed 8,931 miles, which are believed to be original. Dr. Cardoza sold his prized 930 in 2003, and it has since been owned by a small number of enthusiasts.
In 2014, the Turbo scored 243 out of 250 possible points in competition at the Porsche Club of America concours at Monterey Bay and took Second in Class at the nearby Concours on the Avenue. Today, showing less than 11,000 miles, the Porsche sports a new leather interior, and the paint continues to sparkle with a deep finish. Accompanied by its original window sticker, the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, a file of service invoices, original tools, air compressor, and owner’s manuals, this exceptional 930 Turbo promises to draw widespread admiration.
