Built between 1971 and 1989, the R107-generation SL series had a longer production run than any other Mercedes-Benz model. Introduced in North America beginning in 1986, the 560 SL offered more amenities than previous SL models, including a luxurious interior, redesigned seats, and automatic climate control. This well-maintained 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL is a remarkably original example with only three previous owners, all of whom ensured the car was professionally maintained throughout its life, and the car is accompanied by extensive service invoices.
Appearing in a brilliant Arctic White finish with dark blue leather and matching soft top, this sporting Mercedes-Benz displays all of the qualities expected of a low-mileage luxury vehicle. A former Texas car, the body panels show only minimal paint blemishes, and the elegant interior displays minor wear, in keeping with its low mileage. The brilliantly engineered drivetrain features a 5.6-liter fuel-injected engine, automatic transmission, and limited-slip differential that together offer a powerful and smooth ride.
The 560 SL is accompanied by its original manuals and pamphlets, stamped service booklet, data card, embossed metal plate, four original keys, first aid kit, and tool kit. With its striking presentation, this 1987 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL is a modern classic poised for many more years of motoring enjoyment.
