Ferrari’s mid-engine, open-top 328 GTS proved to be so popular that sales were nearly fivefold those of the concurrent 328 Berlinetta. Considering the degree to which so many of the “entry-level” Ferrari Spiders were driven with unforgiving zeal, the availability of this well-preserved example is particularly refreshing.

Built in February 1988, this US-specification 328 benefits from regular maintenance, as reflected by multiple invoices, beginning with a 1,500-mile service performed in May 1988 by Cavallino Classics in Scottsdale, Arizona. In October 1990, a title was issued in New York, and the car relocated to Ohio by 1994. After being acquired by an enthusiast in Rochester, New York, in July 1997, the 328 was sold four years later to Ken Boudin Jr. of Wiscasset, Maine.

Acquired since then by the consignor, the GTS received a timing belt service in November 2014 and attention to a number of items the next year, including an exhaust bypass pipe, fuel bib, and new tires. The car displayed just 22,614 miles at the time of cataloguing, and this figure is supported by the steadily evolving mileage figures on its CARFAX Vehicle History Report. This gorgeous Ferrari 328 GTS is fitted with a Sony radio and offered with a car cover, manuals, and tool kit. It would make a highly presentable yet usable addition to any collection, as a well-preserved example of one of Maranello’s most popular modern Spiders.
