This 328 GTB is a superb standard-bearer for the evolution of the legendary Ferrari bloodline. Pininfarina’s updated design and the larger 3.2-liter engine give it more power and a softened aesthetic than its groundbreaking predecessor, the immensely popular 308 GTB.
Ferrari launched the 328 GTB at the Frankfurt Salon in 1985 to widespread acclaim. This gorgeous 1989 specimen was one of the last to be built in Maranello and was delivered as it appears today – in Rosso Corsa with black leather – to its first owner in Sweden. The berlinetta remained there until the summer of 2015, when it was imported to the US. This Ferrari is accompanied by an exceptional portfolio of documentation, including the original owner’s manual and maintenance booklet. In September 2015, the GTB underwent an extensive service at The Boston Sportscar Company, a recognized Ferrari specialist in Weston, Massachusetts. Maintenance documents support its 23,250 km (14,500 miles) as original, and the car presents today in excellent aesthetic and mechanical condition.
Many regard the 328 GTB as the most coveted of the mid-engine Gran Turismo Berlinettas, being the last of the iconic 308-based series. Only 1,344 328 GTBs were built, and far fewer remain in such impressive condition, making this well-kept example all the more rare and collectible.
