Considered one of the finest of the wedge-shaped supercars of the ’70s and ’80s, the Ferrari 308/328 was the first “small” Ferrari badged as a Ferrari and not a Dino. As a 1989 model, this example represents the final evolution of the design, equipped with ABS brakes, convex wheels, and suspension redesigned to give a negative offset. Completed in June 1989, no. 1887 was sold new through Crown Jaguar/Ferrari of St. Petersburg, Florida, on August 7, 1989.

This example is a multiple-award winner, including a Platinum Award and the coveted Coppa Bella Trophy at the Cavallino Classic in Palm Beach, Florida; a Platinum Award at the 2001 Reading Ferrari Concours d’Elegance, Reading, Pennsylvania; and a Platinum Award at the 2005 Concorso Italiano in Monterey, California.

No. 1887 is distinguished by its condition and originality: The original Blaupunkt Tucson radio remains, and the original Speedline spare tire is unused. Also supplied are the original owner’s manual and warranty booklet, additional keys, and the original tool roll and emergency pouch with jack, tools, spare belts, bulbs, and fuses. Even the gas pedal carpet protector is still covered by factory plastic.

Having recently had a major service, including timing belts, and showing clean CARFAX and AutoCheck reports, this example, which is believed to have had only three owners from new, shows only about 18,000 recorded miles, making this car worthy of serious scrutiny by any Ferrari collector.
