A sporting icon from the last model year for the R107 series, this 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL was purchased new in July 1989 at Merrill Bean Imports of Ogden, Utah. According to the consignor, this 560 SL retains its original Petrol Blue-Green Metallic paint over virtually impeccable Palomino leather with matching carpets and Mercedes-Benz floor mats. Original features include both tops, air-conditioning, power steering and windows, cruise control, premium sound system with cassette, dual front air bags, chrome wheels, fog lights, and a rear-window defroster.
This 560 SL resided in Utah and is believed to have enjoyed single family ownership from new until acquisition by the current owner in 2016. The undercarriage, trunk, engine, and underhood area are all tidy, correct, and impressive with factory-applied Cosmoline sealant, paint markings, and untouched decals remaining in place. As offered, this 560 SL is said by the consignor to be complete with all operations, maintenance, and user manuals; booklets, dealer and accessory brochures, reserve master key, Becker Grand Prix cassette and manual, top wrenches, the unused spare and jack, and original tags. The SRS air bag was dealer-replaced in December 1998. With less than 13,200 miles from new, this 560 SL is reported by the consignor to run and drive as expected. Recently serviced, detailed throughout, and complete with CARFAX and Autocheck reports, this Mercedes-Benz is exceptional.
