Gordon Murray, designer of the legendary McLaren F1, said, “The moment I drove the ‘little’ NSX, all the benchmark cars – Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini – I had been using as references in the development of my car [the F1] vanished from my mind ... the NSX’s ride quality and handling would become our new design target.” Its reliability, driving dynamics, and howling engine note have won the NSX countless fans, with notable owners including Murray, Ayrton Senna, Bill Gates, and Jack Nicholson.

This spectacular first-year NSX was sold new in Milford, Connecticut, and showed just 7,385 miles at time of cataloguing. In the care of its current owner, it was recently serviced by Acura of Pembroke Pines, Florida, and its service director, an expert on the model, pronounced it “the best 1991 example I have seen so far.” The consignor is confident that the paint is factory original.

The NSX recently received new tires and brake pads, and preventative maintenance was done to the climate control and stereo systems. Importantly, this example is not affected by the gearbox circlip issue that is common to some NSXs manufactured in 1991 and 1992. As one of just 525 1991 models built in this color combination, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a collector-quality NSX, a modern classic that has been praised by some of the world’s greatest drivers and designers.
