Rare Six-Speed Manual Gearbox
With a near clean-sheet design, the Ferrari 360 Modena was able to surpass its predecessor, the F355, and redefine Ferrari’s legendary road-car performance in every quantitative and dynamic measure.
Unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show, the aluminum bodywork of the 360 Modena generated four times the downforce of the F355 at speed. Underneath, an aluminum space frame replaced steel for weight savings and rigidity. A 3.6-liter V-8 engine with five valves per cylinder produced 400 hp, and was mated to a six-speed manual gearbox or semiautomatic F1-derived unit. An active suspension system countered body roll, but provided comfort when needed.
This 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena is finished in Nero Daytona (Daytona Black) over a black leather interior, and was delivered new through Ferrari Beverly Hills in April 2000. Equipped with the rare six-speed manual transaxle, this car is additionally outfitted with carbon fiber racing seats, leather-covered fire extinguisher, leather headliner, Rosso Corsa–painted calipers, CD changer, and front and rear Challenge grilles. Registering less than 13,000 miles from new, this Modena presents very well throughout and received a belt and fluid service by marque experts North Coast Exotics in November 2019. Accompanied by its books, tools, keys, and tire inflator, this 360 Modena, with its coveted gated manual shifter, is ready for the multitude of events for which it is eminently capable.
