From an Important Private Collection

In its penultimate year of production, the Ferrari 575M, or Modificato, introduced a series of enhancements that would further refine this brilliant spiritual successor to the legendary V-12 Ferrari GT cars of the 1960s. Engine output was increased by 25 hp over earlier versions, and a newly introduced optional Handling GTC Package introduced special BBS 19" modular alloy wheels, Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, carbon fiber-reinforced ceramic Brembo disc brakes, sport-tuned suspension, faster shifting , and a free-flowing exhaust system. The HGTC package added $23,500 to the price of a new 575M, but it transformed the performance of an already-potent car.

The 575M offered here is presented in the classic Rosso Corsa finish with optional black and red Daytona seats, fender-mounted Scuderia shields, and the desirable HGTC package. It left the factory in Maranello in January 2005 and, as noted on the original warranty card, was acquired new on March 24 of that year by Phillip Resnick of Schaumburg, Illinois, via Continental AutoSports of Hinsdale, Illinois. The 575M has since remained in the Chicago area. Benefiting from diligent dealer service, climate-controlled storage, and care from its fastidious current owner, the car received a Platinum Award (with a perfect 100-point score) at the 2016 Ferrari Club of America National Meet in Columbus. Such an achievement is rarely bestowed on a modern Ferrari, assuring that this 575M is recognized by experts as one of the finest and most desirably optioned examples on the market today.
