Auctions and Brokerage
Many credit the great success of the Porsche marque in the US to its vibrant enthusiast organization, the Porsche Club of America (PCA). From a group of 12 enthusiasts who first met in September 1955, the club steadily grew and, within a year, had established the ongoing Porsche Panorama monthly magazine and the popular Porsche Parade national gathering. By 2013, the club included over 107,000 members from 140 local regions, making it the largest single-marque car club in the world.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of PCA, Porsche unveiled the limited-edition 911 Carrera GTS Club Coupe in 2016, available exclusively to PCA members only through a lottery drawing. A mere 60 units were built, all resplendent in the special paint color of Club Blau. A rear ducktail spoiler, Club Coupe exterior badging, and 20" SportClassic wheels further distinguished this limited-edition 911. Inside, a mix of black leather and Alcantara cloaked the cabin. Optional accessories included a Bose audio system, PASM sports suspension, auto dim mirrors, and the SportDesign package. Purposefully configured, this Club Coupe sports a conventional seven-speed manual gearbox and sunroof delete.
The example offered here was sold new by Porsche of Fremont, California, and showed only 30 miles when catalogued. Offered with its original window sticker and special Club Coupe factory accessories, this commemorative 911 Carrera GTS Club Coupe is the ultimate salute to Porsche’s great enthusiast organization.
