In 2008, Dodge began production of the third-generation Challenger R/T, paying homage to the company’s much-loved muscle cars of the 1970s. Sales were brisk, and throughout the production run, many upgrades and sub models were added to meet the demand for this popular product line.
In 2018, Dodge produced a limited-production drag race variant called the SRT Demon. With a published time of 0–60 mph in 2.3 seconds and capability of a sub-10-second 1/4 mile in stock form, the Demon is a road car with race car performance, one that is equally at home in daily traffic or on the drag strip. Standard equipment on the 3,300 examples built included a 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V-8, drag-mode suspension, launch assist, power chiller, transbrake, torque reserve, air-grabber hood, and Demonbranded Nitto drag radial tires.
The Dodge Demon offered here is finished in Pitch Black exterior and black cloth interior, and has benefited from limited use, logging just under 500 miles at the time of cataloguing. It has been housed in a prominent California collection and includes a laminated window sticker, owner’s manual, and warranty documents.
With its tire-blistering performance and limited use, this Dodge Demon is sure to bring a smile to the face of any lucky new owner.
