In 1959, MG hired Phil Hill to drive its experimental supercharged streamliner EX-181 at the Bonneville Salt Flats. This same car had set five International Class F records in 1957, when Stirling Moss drove it at Bonneville. Over the next two years, the MG was further modified and, in 1959, Hill set a new speed record, having been clocked at 254.91 mph. Lot includes documentation, photographs, correspondence, Certificate of Performance, and small scale model. Scale model: 4.5" long.
