The Delage Type DE was manufactured between 1921 and 1923, with some 3,600 built, and as few as 65 surviving today. It was powered by a 32 hp, four-cylinder side-valve engine coupled to a four-speed gearbox.

This Delage DE bears the coachbuilding plate of M. Taubes of Paris, and is bodied as a particularly handsome torpédo-style tourer. Its spacious rear cockpit features a pair of folding seats in addition to the rear bench seat, and all are set behind the stowable second windshield for comfortable touring. An engraved nameplate affixed to the engine-turned dash panel cites its onetime owner as M. Verzloet of Laarne, Belgium.

Its 1990s restoration is handsomely completed in dark red with black fenders and a tan canvas top. This Delage was built relatively early in the Classic Era and will make a grand addition to any group of fine European cars.
