This fascinating Delahaye has served an important role during its time at the Mullin Collection. As an irreplaceable example in remarkably original condition, it has provided invaluable information to those seeking a higher level of authenticity in Delahaye restoration. Upon its purchase, the amazing originality of this car was fully realized and the car was set in a special diorama within the museum, typifying a significant, though increasingly rare, “barn find.”

This 135MS is accompanied by fascinating correspondence and photos from a prior owner, an aficionado of numerous hallowed French marques, who recounted in detail its years in Europe prior to its importation to the US by legendary dealer Otto Zipper in 1960. This Delahaye has been in the Mullin Collection since 1985 and will require the sourcing of various engine ancillaries to make it complete, though its MS-series triple Solex carburetor setup is present. With each passing year, the rarity and importance of this beautifully designed, highly original Delahaye only increases.

*Please note that all of the Lots in this Auction have been in long-term static storage at the Mullin Automotive Museum and may not be currently operational. They will require mechanical attention and in some cases significant restoration prior to any road use.
