With more than 21 million examples produced, few automobiles have left a greater imprint on the world than the Volkswagen Beetle. Built on November 22, 1956, and delivered new to Portland, Oregon, this beautifully restored example retains its matching-numbers body, as noted on its official Volkswagen Birth Zertifikat. Restored to a high standard, this Beetle is finished in an interpretation of Pastel White, while the inviting cabin is trimmed in gray leather with ivory piping, gray German square-weave carpeting, and a beige headliner beneath the sliding ragtop.
Notably, this Beetle is fitted with a highly desirable Judson supercharger for the original 36 hp engine. Produced during the 1950s and 1960s, the Judson remains one of the earliest and most iconic performance upgrades for air-cooled Volkswagens, and complete, authentic systems are increasingly difficult to find today.
A collection of vintage accessories further distinguishes this charming Beetle, including an original 1959 Allstate “Tag-A-Long” single-wheel trailer, Thermador car cooler, VDO tachometer, Judson boost gauge, Sapphire I radio, pop-out rear windows, Coca-Cola cooler, Samsonite luggage, roof rack, parcel tray, original jack, and a custom handcrafted wood surfboard. Beautifully presented, this Volkswagen Beetle perfectly captures the carefree spirit and timeless appeal of one of the world’s most iconic automobiles.
