1992 Bentley Continental Convertible

Bentley revived its legendary Continental name in 1984, appealing to clients with a preference for the ultimate sporting luxury motorcar. As a late-series example, this Continental benefits from significant chassis improvements, including automatic ride control and an upgraded four-speed automatic transmission, as well as an improved convertible top mechanism featuring a glass rear window and an automatic locking system.

This lovely factory left-hand-drive Continental Convertible was delivered to its first owner in London, finished in Georgian Silver over Silverstone hides piped in Slate. According to the consignor, the car’s first owner was an American financier living in London who used it sparingly between his London residence and his home in Monaco, where he was driven by his chauffeur. London-based specialist Graeme Hunt serviced the Bentley during its time there, as evidenced by invoices and correspondence on file. The consignor, a lifelong Bentley aficionado, brought the car to the US after 2015, where it joined his collection of British automobiles.

Accompanying the Bentley are its books, tool kit, jack, and a history file that includes copies of the original purchase order and factory test sheets. Showing less than 18,500 miles when catalogued and remaining in gorgeous condition, this Continental Convertible is a stunning example of late-20th century British luxury motoring.
