This aggressive, top-specification 2011 Porsche 997 GT3 RS 3.8 was purchased new in Quebec, Canada, in 2010. Imported to the US in 2014, it was acquired by Erick Shirley in March 2015 and has been based primarily on the West Coast since.
Mr. Shirley entrusted this GT3 RS to Dennison International Motorsports and Cantrell Motorsports for extensive modification into a track-focused machine. In addition to a roll cage, this Porsche is now equipped with Sparco racing bucket seats, an OMP three-spoke steering wheel, racing harnesses, carbon fiber doors with sliding Lexan windows, forged BBS wheels, and a billet Numeric Racing competition shifter. The Porsche is also accompanied by a CoolShirt dual-flow water/air driver-cooling system. In addition to its purposeful stance and legendary Mezger-type water-cooled, flat-six engine, the exterior of this 997 GT3 RS 3.8 also features red accents and lower-body checkered-flag graphics, carbon hood with retaining pins, yellow-painted brake calipers, carbon fiber side mirrors, tall pedestal-mounted rear spoiler, and front and rear towing hooks.
Showing less than 2,400 miles when catalogued, this Porsche is accompanied at auction by factory-supplied components that were removed during its track-inspired transformation. As offered, this 2011 Porsche 997 GT3 RS stands ready for your next track day or to be returned to road-going specification.
