Ferrari 499P Modificata to Make Auction Debut at Gooding Christie’s Geneva Sale in November

Gooding Christie’s has published the entirety of its Geneva Auction catalogue online, revealing the headlining lot, a Ferrari 499P Modificata – the first of its kind to come to public auction

Geneva, Switzerland (24 October 2026) – Global collector car market leader Gooding Christie’s has published the full auction catalogue for its inaugural Geneva sale, taking place during Christie’s Luxury Week in early November. The Geneva Auction, to be held on Sunday, 8 November at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues, will be headlined by the just-announced 2024 Ferrari 499P Modificata (Estimate: In Excess of CHF 7,500,000). To peruse the full catalogue, please visit christies.com.

The headlining lot is a special breed of Ferrari, derived from the Le Mans-winning 499P, the latest inductee to the pantheon of historic and victorious Ferrari racing cars. In 2023, the 499P made its competition debut at a number of significant circuits, including at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Ferrari secured its first overall win at the iconic race since 1965.

Shortly after the introduction of the 499P, Ferrari unveiled the 499P Modificata, a non-competitive, unrestricted, track-only variant freed from racing regulations and confines, resulting in a more powerful iteration that makes better use of its hybrid assistance than its competition namesake. The 499P Modificata is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre DOHC V-6 in concert with a 272 PS electric motor at the front axle, producing a combined system output of about 707 PS. At the touch of the “Push to Pass” button, an additional 163 PS lifts the total maximum output to an incredible 870 PS. Additionally, the car wears bespoke Pirelli tires, while its suspension, electric controls, and engine mappings are recalibrated from those of the racing counterpart’s. Presented in its original red livery, this 2024 Ferrari 499P Modificata has not been driven beyond its initial factory shakedown running. Offered publicly for sale for the first time by its original owner, this vehicle presents an exceptional opportunity to acquire Ferrari’s track-only derivative of the Le Mans-winning 499P. Further, its new owner will gain access to Ferrari’s exclusive Sport Prototipi Clienti Program, enabling clients to drive their cars on international circuits with direct factory support. Through this exclusive program, Maranello provides maintenance, logistical support, and trackside technical assistance at dedicated events held alongside F1 Clienti and the XX Programme. Oliver Camelin, Gooding Christie’s Managing Director, EMEA, said: ““The Ferrari 499P Modificata is an extraordinary machine, created by Ferrari to offer a very select group of collectors the unique opportunity to experience firsthand a car directly derived from the 499P that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans outright in 2023, 2024 and 2025. We are incredibly proud to present the first example ever offered at public auction, and I cannot think of a more fitting car to headline Gooding Christie’s inaugural Geneva sale.” All vehicle lots for the sale, including this Ferrari 499P Modificiata, will be on display at a designated viewing facility from Friday to Sunday, exclusively available to collectors and media. Interested parties are encouraged to schedule viewing appointments in advance of the sale.
