In 1965, Rolls-Royce delivered a major, much-needed update to its product line: the Silver Shadow. The new model’s unibody construction enabled the legendary marque to evolve into modern times with increased interior space, reduced weight, and fully independent suspension, all delivered in a smaller package. As ever, the quality and luxury excelled, and the Silver Shadow Coupes and Sedans went on to become the company’s most successful models to date. Likely owned from new for a short time by noted actress Zsa Zsa Gabor, this handsome Silver Shadow Saloon is one of just 571 examples built in the pre-Corniche series and sports the slim chrome bumpers that so attractively define the early cars. Finished in dramatic black over a beautifully trimmed interior of wool carpets, stunning, book-matched wood veneers, and cognac Connolly leather, the Saloon was acquired by noted Rolls-Royce expert Charles Agapiou in 2011. Documents confirm that it received extensive mechanical and cosmetic restoration in his care. Very seldom seen in such beautiful, restored condition, this Rolls-Royce is accompanied by an owner’s manual, tool set, certificate of origin issued to dealer Peter Satori of Pasadena, window sticker, and restoration invoices. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect this cherished Saloon and to seize this rare opportunity.
