According to its Porsche Production Specification certificate, this 914/6 was completed in February 1970. Finished in Irish Green over a black leatherette interior, this US-delivery car was specified with a leather steering wheel and Fuchs alloy wheels. While most 914s were powered by four-cylinder engines, this example is one of approximately 3,300 factory-built with a 2.0-liter flat-six from the 911 T.

Passing through a small number of enthusiast owners over its life, this 914/6 benefited from thoughtful upgrades and ongoing maintenance. Its matching-numbers flat-six was rebuilt to 2.2 liters and fitted with dual Weber 40 carburetors in 1989. More recent work performed circa 2023 by specialist Makellos Classics in Escondido, California, included refinishing the body in its factory-correct shade of Irish Green and performing an engine-out service encompassing rebuilt Weber carburetors, a valve adjustment, and the renewal of various fuel, ignition, and heating-system components.

Accompanied by its books, tools, jack, spare, and Porsche Production Specification certificate, this 914/6 presents as a highly usable example of Porsche’s landmark six-cylinder roadster. Combining a desirable factory color scheme, documented history, and enhanced performance, it offers an engaging expression of one of the most rewarding sports cars of the air-cooled era.
