This Mondial 3.2 Quattrovalvole Cabriolet is a European-market example which was built in June 1986 and imported to the US in July that same year through the Port of Long Beach, California. The Ferrari’s first private owner resided in Oregon and reportedly owned two Mondial examples, placing them both in storage when new.
The Cabriolet was later purchased and exported to England by Graham Stock of Wales in 2019. Upon its arrival, Mr. Stock entrusted Ferrari specialist Bob Houghton Ltd of Gloucestershire with servicing the highly original Mondial. In addition to Houghton’s service records on file, a letter written by their service manager reads, “it is in excellent condition with original plating and finishes on most visible parts.”
The Mondial was later reimported to the US prior to the consignor’s purchase. Following a timing belt service, new tires, fluid service and paint correction by Hammer & Dolly Auto Restorations of Traverse City, Michigan, the Ferrari has been enjoyed sparingly on spirited weekend drives and showed just 454 miles at the time of cataloguing. Offered with books, leather folio, spare tire, service receipts, and documentation, this Mondial Cabriolet is surely one of the most original examples extant and would be welcome at any number of Ferrari club events and concours worldwide.
