When the Ferrari 328 debuted at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show as the successor to the 308, it was an important step forward in design, performance, and refinement over the previous model. Powered by a 3.2-liter V-8, the 328 produces 270 hp and like its 308 predecessor, does not require the engine to be removed to replace the cam belts. Offered in both coupe and Targa forms, just over 7,400 examples of the 328 were built during the model’s four-year production run.
This 1989 Ferrari 328 GTS is an outstanding example which was first sold to Florida in March 1989. As a final-year example, this 328 benefits from all the updates incorporated over the model run such as ABS brakes and revised suspension geometry. Finished in the striking color of Blu Chiaro Metallic (Light Blue Metallic) over a beige leather interior, the car appears exceptionally well kept and showed less than 11,206 miles at the time of cataloguing. In 2010, this 328 was awarded Ferrari Classiche Certification and is being sold with the corresponding Red Book.
Additionally, over 25 years of service records are included along with other documentation and the factory tool roll. The 328 GTS is lauded for its driving dynamics, looks, and usability and this is an outstanding example that would be the perfect addition to any garage.
