Officially introduced in 1972, the range-topping S-Class has consistently led the pack when it comes to safety and luxury features. Its second generation, dubbed the W126, was no exception as it introduced state-of-the-art equipment such as driver- and passenger-side air bags, traction control, and anti-lock brakes.

One of less than 7,000 second-series SECs built for the US market from 1985 to 1991, this top-of-the-line C126 was manufactured during the model’s final production year and thus incorporates all of the innovations made during the production run. Functionally, this included the revised 5.5-liter M117 V-8 engine, integrated fog lights, and power-adjustable mirrors. It also features amenities such as electronic climate control and a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/cassette stereo.

Rarely found in such outstandingly well-preserved condition, this striking 560 SEC is being offered from a discerning private collector with an affinity for high-quality Mercedes-Benz cars. It is finished in its attractive original Black over Beige color combination, and is accompanied by factory literature, tools, service records, and a CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Appearing little used since it rolled off the showroom floor over three decades ago, this highly optioned 560 SEC is a testament to Mercedes-Benz’s exceptional build quality and reliability during this era, making it an excellent choice for the forward-thinking collector.
